Construction Concepts CEO Joshua Weisman has teamed up with Bosscat Kitchen & Libations owners, John Reed and Leslie Nguyen, to serve over 100 Thanksgiving meals for families and staff at the Houston Area Women’s Center residential shelter.
“While this has been a challenging year, there is still so much to be thankful for,” said Joshua Weisman, CEO of Construction Concepts. “We have been so fortunate to partner with our friends at Bosscat Kitchen & Libations to provide meals for hundreds local families this year and it is an incredible privilege to be able to do so this Thanksgiving for the staff and families served by the Houston Area Women’s Center. They have seen an overwhelming increase in domestic violence during this pandemic. As a community, we are grateful for the invaluable services HAWC continuously provides for women and children in need.”
“The challenges this year within our industry pale in comparison to the ongoing struggles in some communities,” said John Reed, CEO of Bosscat Kitchen & Libations. “I was taught at a very early age that the best way to help yourself is to put others first. Giving to those with great challenges in front of them is truly a privilege.”
Since 1977, the Houston Area Women’s Center has worked relentlessly to help survivors affected by domestic and sexual violence build lives free from the effects of violence. HAWC works to end domestic and sexual violence and supports all in building safe and healthy lives through advocacy, counseling, education, shelter and support services.
